If you thought that the joystick that BMW currently uses in their car is a bit funky, the one used in the BMW i3 takes the cake.

Seriously. Do they like torturing us?

That looks ridiculous, and it seems like it would be easy to bump while steering.
Really, why bother with a stalk. put the buttons somewhere easily accessible, but not directly in the way, once underway.

I'm with you on this ... Jaguar did it right.

Looking at the thing from the following photo almost makes it look like it was tacked on at the very, very, very last femtosecond. I don't like the exterior and the interior is really nice... but for that stalk thing.

At first, I thought it was an shifter paddle, then I noticed that there's only one. I wonder how many people who have driven a car with flappy-paddles, jump into this car and put it into N or R by accident? I'd rather they use the normal looking column stalk that MB and Tesla use if they insist on putting it there.

Um...sorry...but, I like it. It looks a bit odd but so do all column shifters.

I agree that column shifters are a bit odd. I just think they could have make it not stick out like a sore thumb or find a way to make it more symmetrical (something on the other side of the wheel).

The fuck? No thank you, I'll pass.
